New teleport town in japan

Well i have satelite tV and i was watching "Building the ultimate" on the science channel. Apparently master artitects have built a new super tokyo town a teleport town in japan. Has anyone been there? or know what I'm talking about?

actually i saw the same prgoram... i called smth like tokyo teleport town.. with crazy trash chutes that go to a recycling or trash burning center... and other intricate systems of managing city services... it was really amazing.

I think you're talking about the Odaiba waterfront area of Tokyo. Maciamo has photos here:

The waterfront is not fully developed yet, and I think the program featured what it is supposed to be like in the future... The project is called Tokyo Teleport Town. I don't know how long it will take because businesses and people aren't moving into the area as quickly as the government expected after recession that hit Japan in the 1990s...

But the pace has picked up in the 2000s.

That is the Telecom Building. The lobby/atrium sometimes gets used for staging television shows. I thoroughly impressed my daughter while watching television by identifying the building and informing her that her father has often taken a crap there.

What they don't show you (among other things) is the Evergreen container shipping terminal which borders the building to the rear. The Frontier Building (located directly across the street) has a Tokyo harbor museum up near the top and a nice panoramic view of the bay area. Admission is only about 200 yen.
