Harajuku, known as the capital's fashion district, will soon be the site of a new glitzy shopping complex featuring a vertical rooftop garden. Designed by architect Hirata Akihisa and initially scheduled to open in 2022, the still-unnamed complex ("Jingumae Project") will be inaugurated in 2024. It will be located at the Tokyu Plaza intersection of Meiji-Dori and Omotesando at what used to be the site of the former Condomania flagship store, which was relocated in 2018.

With three basement levels, the building will boast twelve floors and occupy 3,085 square metres and a total floor area of 19,930 square metres.
