Hey people, im new here!

Ive never been to japan but im going to tokyo with my family in 3 weeks for christmas!

I wanted to ask a few things.

Does it snow for christmas in tokyo?
What things do they sell in vending machines?
What are great places to buy video games and toys?
Is the sushi good there?
Is there anywhere where i can eat some good chanko?

Thanks guys!!

I can only answer from memory but...

It snows in Tokyo about as regularly as it does in London, so not a lot, as in London for it to snow on christmas is just luck

In order of what I've seen the most:
Drinks, Cigarettes, Food, then other assorted things like porn, magazines, etc

If you're in Tokyo, the local game shops are just as good as ones in central London (maybe smaller and less flashy, but the selection is still good).

Sushi is better in Japan than anywhere else in the world, as far as I'm aware, lol. But forget the taste for a second, its a HELL of a lot CHEAPER as well

I'm afraid I have no idea on the last one, lol.

Thanks dude,

Can anyone else answer my questions??

Getting impatient in just one hour doesn't exactly encourage others to participate in your thread.

It isn't as though you're leaving on the next tram. Calm down.

do you have a problem? some of us arent as fortunate as you to be in japan everyday.

Why shouldnt i be excited from now?

Stop being so stiff.

I dont live in Japan everyday and I'm not excited... ☝
As Mike says, chill a bit.
Japan isnt going there and you arent going there this minute.

heh, ease up guys, just cos one man doesn't find something exciting don't bum out the guy that does

i know the feeling of getting excited tho, getting closer to the move I might be the same, lol, the problem is right now I don't have a clue, I think it's a good thing you know what you're after

do you have a problem?

I'm a 41 year old man with a wife and two kids. Of course I have problems.

News Flash: Japan is just a place and the Japanese are just people.

Why shouldnt i be excited from now?

There's excited, then there's excited. This is a forum, not a chat room, so it is unreasonable to expect lots of answers in under an hour.
Stop being so stiff.

Stop being so antsy.

welcome to Japan in advance
I have never been to any chanko restaurants, but I know there are many chanko restaurants around Ryogoku station.
(J-forum didn't allow me to post the link... )
