Need info on where a person can meditate, natural onsen and hotel in Yamaguchi

I'm looking for the above that is close to train or has bus service to the area in Yamaguchi or Fukuoka area. Any help is appreciated.

How about Nagato Yumoto Onsen (長門湯本温泉)? I stayed at an inn there once, and it was very nice. I've linked to some hotels/inns in the area below. I'm afraid they're not cheap, however.

Yamaguchi actually has quite a lot of well-known hot springs. In Fukuoka, the ancient Futukaichi Onsen has been famous since ancient times, but the town has been so heavily developed that it no longer feels like a traditional hot spring resort. Also, apart from Harazuru Onsen along the Chikugo River, there are few natural hot springs in Fukuoka. Ōita and Kumamoto have many hot springs, so I usually go there instead. In summer, because it's hot, I head for the group of hot springs on the Iida Plateau at the foot of the Kuju Mountain Range in Ōita.

Yamaguchi's well-known hot spring areas include Kawatana Onsen, Tawarayama Onsen, and Noda Onsen. Depending on the season, hotels and ryokan there can be quite expensive. When it comes to natural hot springs in tranquil settings with good bus or train access, my recommendation is "Sōtsukyō Onsen." Located along National Route 434, it's a hot spring in a small village by a mountain stream. You can't stay overnight, but it's one of my favorite natural hot springs. Another is "Fukatanikyō Onsen Seiryū-no-Sato," located further upstream. They say cottages there are available for around 3,000 yen, and camping is 500 yen. It's about two hours from Iwakuni.

I'm in Thailand right now and I have someone who is very interested in coming to Japan and wants to have a place where this person can meditate have good Japanese food have a natural outside hot spring I guess I know in Mine. Yamaguchi in that countryside area they have something but I don't know if it's natural Hot springs I've been there through the area on my motorcycle many times but never stop through there but I appreciate the help there and I can relate this to the person that is interested in visiting Japan really I really appreciate all the help I really do if you have any other information basically really Yamaguchi because that's where I'm living. It would be nice okay thanks a lot guys really appreciate it

What's his budget?

Another one that I know of personally (I've been to the onsen, but I haven't stayed at a hotel in the area) is Yumen Onsen, in another part of Nagato. This one is less of a tourist draw perhaps, but I had no complaints. I know that at least at the time, the locals really took pride in this onsen.

I'm staying at the hotel here in Bangkok for the lady she owns the hotel and she wants to go to Japan and as I mentioned the headline there she wants you just to kick back and meditate and enjoy a natural spring hot spring water or something like that but I really appreciate you taking the time thank you.

Actually she's the owner of the hotel where I'm staying at here in Bangkok so I don't think money is I don't know but she drives a really nice Mercedes so I think money. she is conservative but she does spend a lot of money freely at least that's what I felt with her and her friends going out in the evenings . Didn't seem like money was no problem.

@musicisgood surely you knew about Yuda Onsen, didn't you? Yuda Onsen is a lot easier for a foreigner to actually get to than Yumoto Onsen. Yumoto Onsen is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There is a train that runs there, but as I recall the trains on the San'in side don't run very often, so you really need to plan ahead to use them. The Sanyou side (Yamaguchi City included) had much greater frequency in trains.

That is to say, Yumoto is more rural. But that has its own charm, too.

Although I have lived here for many years, I've only been to an onsen maybe 5 times. This lady would like the natural environment, kind of a spiritual trip for her. I'll keep you posted. The problem is I no longer have a Japanese driver license. Difficult situation.

There is a bus that runs from ShinYamaguchi Station that she could take to Nagato Yumoto, but I don't think I would recommend it to someone with no Japanese language skills.

Thanks I never knew about that bus. And you're probably right without any Japanese skills it might be pretty difficult almost impossible really. Thanks for your information I really appreciate it.
