That's nice work. Interesting how you got the old-school anime character design feel to work with subtle muscular definition.

Thanks, I enjoy drawing her, she's my fave animated character ever, so I try do the best I can when I do draw her!

Finished this piece just last night, it's the version of Castle Greyskull from the 80s show He-Man, with the drawbridge down:

Just finished off a character from the series, known as the Sorceress, very pleased with the colouring, 4 tones, just to show her off a little, just wish I hadn't taken so long in getting her done:

Thanks! That looks a very interesting website, I shall be having a good look through later!

Well, another pic done, a cute pic from me for a change:

Totally Spies characters turn into bats. i loved that cartoon.

Me too, just wish it would be released on DVD here in the UK and uncut, unlike the last two paltry releases we got

I knew I was forgetting something! I published this on YouTube back at the end of January, I've clearly missed postings links in a couple of places, but in relation to the above Sorceress of Greyskull pics, here is the third and final preview, of my digital recreation of the 80s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe intro sequence, all the principle animation is done, I just have to go and do a couple of the backgrounds, the light & shading and finally, the special effects, but apart from that, it's practically done:

You made this?
Sort of... it's a recreation of the 80s He-Man cartoon opening sequence, but every frame I have produced myself, added additional light, shading and animation, cleaned up the original animation, there was quite a few dodgy moments, it's now much smoother, all the backgrounds, though as you'll notice there's a couple that are incomplete and others that aren't moving like in the original, with that said, pretty much all the backgrounds will have moving clouds, unlike the original. I'll also be cleaning up the audio for the final complete version, so it'll be much nicer sounding too!

You did a great job. i like your work.
Thanks. Initially I just wanted to do the Filmation studio name in HD, but then it turned out so nicely, I decided I would recreate the entire sequence... sadly with current equipment and limited time to work on it, the project has dragged considerably! I should get myself a drawing tablet to use, instead of just using the mouse to do everything, I might've saved myself some time if I got one in the beginning

Oh well, thankfully I am taking a break from it to do some other stuff, though I really want to get it done and submitted to this year's Power-Con!

Well, unfortunately this years Power-Con came and went, I didn't get anywhere near done, but I have taken many steps forward into getting it done, of my recent, is the completion of Castle Greyskull with its Jawbridge up, which took forever, as the one element, the Emblem on the door, I could not find a detailed enough image, until after I watched the series several times over, I spotted the one that I needed and finally it was complete!

So here is Castle Greyskull, door closed:

Great work, you put a lot of work into the door design. How are you watching He-Man? Do you have it on DVD, VHS or from online.

I have the season 1 UK boxset and the season 2 German DVDs vol 1 & 2 of He-Man, along with the complete She-Ra series DVD set.

On thinking things over a little bit, whilst I'm not going to recreate the original She-Ra transformation sequence, I decided that I would go about redesigning She-Ra and do my own new transformation sequence. So I have started with the basics, She-Ra's sword and headpiece:

Wish you luck on your next project. I can't wait to see the end result....

Thanks again! Though wudja believe it, I go and start another project! I know, should stick with one project, but I need distractions when one gets overbearing or tedious and as I really hate doing nothing all day, trying to relax is just too..... stressful! So what have I decided to do? Yup, another recreation of an intro sequence, this time, of the She-Ra Princess of Power feature length movie, thankfully much of it, consists of still images, with some SFX going on and very little animation to do, but anyway, here are the two pics that I finished yesterday:

Finished off another title card today, this time, featuring Teela:

Further to my She-Ra redesign and transformation animation, I finished of with redesigning the other side of She-Ra, otherwise known as Adora... front & back views:

Left: Force Captain Adora of the Evil Horde - Right: Adora leader of the Great Rebellion

Question, do you draw the weapon apart or in a different slide and add it in later?

Presently I add it later! Also, I want to admit..... I have totally lost the original PSD file for her sword design!! I've serached and searched, it's just, gone :arghh:
