Movie: 'Infernal Affairs' / 'The Departed' (Hollywood remake)

Infernal Affairs (無間道 / 无间道 / インファナル・アフェア) is a crime thriller released in 2002, which revolves around two undercover moles - a triad member who infiltrates the police force and the other who is an undercover cop in a major triad gang. The two eventually seek each other out.

The Departed (2006), which has just been released recently, is the Hollywood version of the movie.

What did you think of either film, and what parts did you find the most memorable?

If you have seen both, what do you think of the changes made to the original in the latter movie?

I have seen both, in fact I have the Infernal affairs trilogy on DVD.
The Hollywood version isn't a bad remake, but I expect Martin Scorese to do good work.
The only comments I have with it was the remake has put all three films into the one, so there shouldn't be a sequel, and the ending was forced. If they had left it where the original had left it then a sequel could have been made. With the three films into one made it skip some more imortant points that you find in the originals. I did read that the scriptwriter for the remake didn't watch the original films, so he wouldn't be biased by how they ran.
