Monbukagakusho news?

Hi,
I noticed some people in jref had been recommended to japan by the embassy for monbukagasho scholarship this year.
Has any of you received any response from the university about the scholarship?
I applied for research student, it is late december and I still didn't get any email nor from my future advisor neither from the university.
I am starting to worry that I am not selected.

Hmmm, Well hopefully the message will come to you soon and good luck on the scholarship. Do you know well the requirements for the scholarships or possibly direct them to me please?I cannot remeber where i read is was for Technology and Science studies but i am not clear, is it?

Today, I got an email from the university, saying they have reserved my place in waseda but must wait for embassy to inform me.

So finally, I am back on the track. After 4 months, the waiting was driving me nuts , I couldn't work or even study. Now that I got accepted, I will be more ambitous about everything.

By the way, Jpstw, the requirements of the scholarship depends on which type of scholarship you applied; undergraduate student or research student. Best way to learn the requirements and the procedures for monbukagakusho is to call the japanese embassy/consulate in your own country.
