That's an error message to show a bad connection or disconnection occurs inside your Mitsubishi navigation system. You need to have a maintenance check on the navi.

Wow that's great, thanks for the quick response I really appreciate your help. I understand why the message is displayed, because I replaced the car battery recently and now I get this message. Pity it doesn't actually tell me how to fix the issue. Is there a literal translation of the message at all ? Thanks again

Communication/Connection error in the system
Communication/Connection error occurs in the system. Please contact a Mitsubishi car dealer and have a maintenance check on the navigation system.

The problem is inside the navigation system, not battery replacement. (I've read a MMCS manual.) You need to contact a Mitsubishi car dealer and have a maintenance check on your navi, as in the message.

Just wanted to say thanks again Toritoribe, I have now fixed the issue. A fuse had blown which had disconnected part of the system. With your translation I was able to trace the fault.
