Konnichiwa minna-san! Hajimemashite!

My name is Lauren and I live in Australia in a city about an hour away from Melbourne. I'm in year 10 at highschool and I have been taking Japanese class since last year when I changed schools but I have been teaching myself since year 7 and I'm actually a bit ahead of most of my classmates.

I've loved anime ever since kindergarten when I used to watch Sailor Moon in the mornings before school. My best friend and I used to play Sailor Scouts at recess and she always insisted on being Sailor Moon even though she wasn't a blonde. (Well to be fair neither was I...)

I've been interested in the Japanese language ever since my older cousin taught in Japan. I always thought she was so awesome how she could speak another language fluently especially when used to say said things to my mum in Japanese that were too naughty for my young ears.
