what is your answer?
My prof didn't ask me about that, I think because I wrote in the scholarship application form that I want to go there in April.
If you go in April then we will board the same plane to Japan and HiroDai, and attend the same japanese language class
I can't wait anymore...
Congraaats flidar... and thank you one more time for your help!
I am with you asanoki, but the case is different as I was excluded before the second screening...and if you want me to send the letter for you, I will as it may be the same letter that you get from the embassySo, I am the only one rejected in the whole world?
I don't think it is necessary cuz it's a notification mail plus she mentioned that write to her only if you wanna drop the scholarship. So I guess not sending any reply means you want the scholarship.
Now that we have passed the second screening, when are we expected to be there?
Me and the professor chose the 1st of April. So, when is my flight going to be exactly?
Am I going to go to the target city directly or somewhere else?
Another thing: the professor told me that the accommodation for the first year will be free. Does that mean that I'll have to pay for next years?
EDIT: Another question. Does the flight have to be from my mother country? Or I can change it to country of residence?
I think that I'll pay for my own tickets, I can't go to Iraq@Fifo:
all MEXT scholars have to pay for their hostels...so you getting free 1st year is a bonus!
next you can not change your flight route...it will be from your motherland to japan (99% it is Narita Airport, Tokyo)
Celebration time for you! Cheerz.
I think that I'll pay for my own tickets, I can't go to Iraq
What's the usual date of departure?
sure@fifo: It is either first week of april or first week of october...depending on what you filled in your application form.
and since your motherland is iraq, I am sure the embassy will guide you how to go about it...or if you suggest them that you can book your airtickets from your country to japan and they can allocate the amount required for airticket from iraq to japan in your scholarship fund....
that makes sense...i hope you understood the point. But don't be pushy...agree to whatever embassy suggests.
Congarulation xyznD and i wish Good luck for youA phone call from my embassy says that we would receive the final documents by the end of December. So the probability of having the scholarship is very high.. I think this is the same as saying that I have got a "tentative" acceptance (as previous post in this forum). Let us think that all is going to be perfect and having the official documents is a matter of bureaucracy, and as my professor told me I will meet him in April
ykk, Do not worry, I am sure that you will get it soon, and I wish to follow your steps to adapt myself to accept both good and Bad newsMEXT2011 thank you for your post, I really can't stand the wait anymore, seriusly
I want to join the "in" list soon, but I am mentally prepared for ANY news (either good or bad one)
xyznD, great someone from America got an answer! (America as the continent, not as the United States of America....)
At least from the latinamerican people in this thread, you are the only one who had a reply!!! Almeid4 and I are still waiting, I hope they don't forget about the south!
Do we have any country confirmed its candidates so far?Xmas is arround hoping for good news!!
You are right ykk , I am from Egypt (Africa) , and we do not confirmed yet about the final listThis is NOT a official list.
This list is made judging user's flags in this forum. There may be more countries confirmed, or not.
Note that not all the candidates from these countries may have been contacted yet.
As I always recommend, if you have any doubt contact you embassy, they have the final word of everything, this forum is just for general reference.
Countries confirmed so far:
Indonesia
South Africa
Iraq
Romania
Germany
Bulgaria
Peru
Malaysia
Hong kong
Russia
Vietnam
Spain
Please correct me if I am wrong, I may have forgotten or misplaced a country, sorry
I am not sure if I will be able to edit this list later, so copy + paste the list and add/remove your country
