Hello,

If possible, may I ask about usage of 心配くださってありがとう in the sentence below:

「川原まではそう遠くないから大丈夫、ご心配くださってありがとう」続けていう。

Maybe it is possible to give following translation:

"Riverbank is not that far, so I will be fine, thank you for your concern" - he [the bear] continued.

But I wonder, if there is any difference (maybe in politeness level) between
心配くださってありがとう and 心配してくれてありがとう... :?

Thank you very much.

:sorry:

It's ご心配くださって. You can't drop the ご from it -- it's part of the verb form. This is 尊敬語, like ご覧になる or 召し上がる or お試しになる, so it's more polite than 心配してくれて.

Glennさん、

Thank you very much for your kind help.

Before I was thinking that ご was used as prefix to make noun 心配く more polite (maybe like in ご飯).
But after your kind correction maybe I should think about

ご(honorific prefix) + 心配(noun) + くださる(honorific verb)

Thank you very much for kindly correcting me.

:sorry:

Yes, that's right, although calling 心配 a noun here is a bit strange. But that's a minor point, I think.

Glennさん、

Thank you very much for your kind help.
