Hello,

So sorry for many questions. :sorry:

If possible may I ask about the translation for the sentence below:

どうぞ、お子さまとごー緒に とって おきの民話を お楽しみください。

More likely in a wrong way, I could translate it only as

Please enjoy People tales with your children.

But I am not sure what とごー緒に could really mean.

And another difficult is おき. I guess, it introduce a category for the noun 民話, but I do not know which category is being introduced exactly.

Thank you very much! :sorry:

Your understanding is correct about ご一緒に.
一緒 means "together" ご is honorific (same as お of お子さま),
お子さまとご一緒に together with your child(ren)/along with your child(ren)

とっておき is a one word. ;-)
とっておきの means something special - something (good) reserved for a special occasion, special purose, someone special, etc.

undrentideさん、

Thank you so much for the perfect, as always, explanation.
Once I saw ~に とって I was thinking it express "as for; concerning" and became confused.
:sorry:

Thank you very much for your kind help and explanations. :sorry:

I don't think "people tales" is the best way to translate 民話.

Perhaps it came as a result of translating the "folk" in "folk tales" to "people"?

It would be from this thread, a literal translation used to differentiate 民話 and 昔ばなし.
