Meaning of 「verb + ので　あれば」

Hello,

If possible, please, kindly, help me with ので meaning in the sentence below

今朝のフライトに乗り遅れなかったのであれば良いと思います。

Maybe, it is possible to translate the sentence as:

I hope you did not miss the flight this morning

But I am not sure why ので was used. I assumed that it is 遅れなかったのです expression that was conjugated to conditional form and の particle was used for nominalization purposes. But I am not sure. :sorry:

～のであれば is a conditional similar to ～のだったら, ～のなら.

乗り遅れなかったのである → 乗り遅れなかったのであれば
乗り遅れなかったのだ → 乗り遅れなかったのなら

～たのであれば良い/～た（の）なら良い is an expression for a past fact. In this case, it means "It is OK/no problem/enough~".

I think it's no problem, since you did not miss the flight this morning.

Unfortinately I am not so familiar with ～のであれば (～のだったら) conditional.
If possible, may I ask a little bit more. How it is better translate such conditional in the sentence below:

なにもしないので あれば うちに かえります。

I tried to say:

If nothing to do, I will go home.

But ～のであれば conditional still little bit unclear for me.

I am sorry, if the sentence grammar is wrong. It is just my attempt to invent another Japanese sentence which may use ～のであれば conditional.

You need to think separately about "the preset form + のであれば" and "the past form + のであれば". The former is just a conditional, so your translation is correct. As for the latter, it's a bit complecated. It can be used both for a fact in the past and a contrary-to-fact in the past.

何もしなかったのであれば、心配しなくてもいい。（＝何も（悪いことを）しなかったのだから、心配しなくてもいい。）
Since you/he/she didn't do anything (wrong), you/he/she don't need to warry about it.

何もしなかったのであれば、事故は起きなかっただろう。（＝実際は、何か（悪いことを）したので事故が起きた。）
If you/he/she/I hadn't done anything, the accident wouldn't happen. (In fact, you/he/she/I had done something wrong, so the accident happened.)
