Yes, it looks strange at first. Greetings in Japanese and Esperanto. But do bear with me for a moment.

Recently, the Universala Esperanto-Asocio (UEA) (World Esperanto Association) announced that its next Universala Kongreso (world conference) will take place in Yokohama (August 4th-11th, 2008). And, yes, Japan does indeed have an Esperantist community.

Would anyone on the Forum like to share their fave sights in Yokohama - on the off-chance that I get the chance to go there next year?

:sorry:

Obviously, the harbor and a view from the Landmark Tower's observation deck are musts. Chinatown as well.

Wasnt esperanto an attempt at a world language?.

Sounds awfully Latino.

Harbor city, looks like Kobe.

www.deadhippo.com gives some good information about the city, or the Jref practical guide!!

I love Minato Mirai 21.

here is my short synops of Yokohama on my site

My Yokohama Gallery

I really need to go again i didnt get to spend much time each time i go.

I recommend going to Yokohama baseball studium. Enjoy seeing cheers or supporters showing their perfect discipline.
