We used to have arguments of "what is the exact lyrics of Takefuji's song?" on Japanese bulletin boards.

"synchronize this love is what we've got to do"
"synchronize this love with what we've got to do"

Which is correct?

To me it sounds like "synchronize this love is what we've got to do" but that's just me

One of my favorite Japanese commercials were the ones with the two guys that always say, "Faito! Ippatsu!!!"

And as far as nostalgic commercials go, how about:

I'd like to buy the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow white turtle doves.

I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to buy the world a Coke
And keep it company.

Faito, ippatsu, yeah the lipovitan drink commercial.
I think it's Ken Kosugi now, the english speaking guy whose father starred in some hollywood movies. He used to be the star in TBS Muscle Ranking show.
He's doing some sports show hosting now and rumored to be engaged to a famous golfer.

Faito,ippats has been going on for a long time,no doubt about it!

No kidding about nostalgia. I think that was mid-80s, maybe '86 or so. I had completely forgotten about that. Was that the commercial in which a diverse group of people gathered on a hilltop, held hands, and sang together?

It's actually very early 70's, either '70 or '71. The only reason I know this is because they talked about it on VH1's I Love the 70's, and I was really suprised to find out how old it actually was. But I remember seeing it on TV in the 1980's when I was growing up, so it's probably one of the longest running commercials ever.

But, one poster here was strongly against it, claiming "Official lyrics is not always perfect. This is an imperative sentence, 'synchronize this love is' is grammatically impossible, 'is' must be 'with'". I was thinking he was possibly right, but it seems 'is' is correct. Thanks everyone!
