What's a good place (area) to stay in Tokyo that is convenient to both Aoyama Gakuin and Nihonbashi-muromachi?

I'm no cartographer, but I know my way around Tokyo fairly well, and I think that the Roppongi area is -- if nothing else -- located between Aoyama Gakuin University and Nihonbashi-muromachi, with relatively easy access to both.

Would that not be a better option than Shinjuku (west of Aoyama Gakuin and thus quite from from Nihonbashi) and Otemachi (close to Nihonbashi but not to Aoyama Gakuin)?

Also, how about Akasaka-Mitsuke? That's on the Hanzomon Line and is connected to both Omotesando (near Aoyama Gakuin) and Mitsukoshi-mae (near Nihonbashi-muromachi).

There are lots of hotels there, and I think this would also be more convenient than your suggestions. What you do you think?

That might work but Otemachi is not on the Yamanote line. However it's true you can get to Shibuya from there on the Hanzomon Line, if I recall correctly.
