Licks, riffs and hooks: calling all guitarists

Hi there

Can any guitarists out there point me towards the best site for j-rock tabs? Every now and then I randomly search for the tab for 'song of the moment', but now I really want to, er, properly learn stuff... I don't have many problems finding chords, which are helpful, but can anyone suggest good sites for getting hold of the actual tab, including solos, riffs etc? I can sometimes pick them out by listening but it takes ages and sometimes there's a bit I just can't catch, especially in really fast solos.

(Does anyone else struggle with that, or am I just an exceptionally bad guitarist? :? )

Or, failing that, sites where I can order the actual transcripts even if I have to pay real, actual money! ☝

At the moment I'm mainly interested in playing stuff by Dir en Grey, Malice Mizer, Due'le Quarz and Psycho le Cemu - but I'd be interested in any j-rock tab sites. I've been out of circulation for a while and need some serious practice! :joyful:

um... i'm afraied i don't really know any :sorry:
but i remeber on http://www.harusaki.org there was a section for tabs and stuff cos i wanted to see if they had the piano line for harusaki sentimental..... it's all plastic tree i'm afraid.... but... you did say any jrock (and if you haven't heard them....... it have much pitty for you and i shall send you the cell album ^.^)

ah, I shall try out that site then...
So far I only heard one song of Plastic Tree, it was Angel Dust. I really liked it but haven't got around to getting more yet... coz there's like soooo much stuff to get from all bands... I'm like a kid in a candy store!
Dunno if I'll get much of response, though... I don't know how many folks here actually play guitar... although I know there are some singers and drummers out there!

lol, yeah... well... i don't play guitar (well... i tryed.... not such a great thing ^^; )..... i really desporatly wanna play bass... but... it's a lost dream
and me sings *is in the cathedral choir* ^.^ (but... i hate my voice so... no bandness for me)

umm...you know i've actually had trouble finding good guitar tab too for any jrock/jmusic. i always find bass tab...but never really any guitar tab. T___T i want to play more jmusic guitar!!! *pouts childishly*

Yeah, actually, it's funny you should say about the bass... I had a couple of years when I got sick and couldn't play guitar, and now I've just started getting back into it and polishing the rust off my fingers, lol. And, I was considering playing the bass, too. I've always liked it and when I picked out songs from CDs I'd always pick out the bass line.

Unfortunately I can't play the guitar (or bass) *and* sing at the same time!! We ought to form a virtual band. You sing and play guitar, and I'll play the bass and keyboard, and, erm... drums anyone?
