Learning vocabulary

Hey everyone

I'm learning Japanese (started by learning by myself and a few months ago I decided to take classes) and one thing I have difficulties with is learning new vocabulary. The problem is that I don't have much contact with Japanese besides classes and my study (well, and some blogs / vlogs I follow). Learning new vocabulary (verbs, adjectives, etc etc) by memorizing it is somewhat boring and frustrating. I need to use it to be able to really memorize it.

What do you guys suggest? What do you do to add up vocabulary?

I do nothing but remembering and review words everyday. How many words have you remembered so far anyway?
