Konnichiwa, I'm Derek and it's nice to meet everyone.
I'm new here and I've been learning for a few days, I must say I really like the forum so far and I cant wait to get to know everyone here.
I've been a Japan fanboy ever since the ole godzilla movies and before the power rangers turned into the power rangers and ruined the show for me.
I'm also a fan of Astro boy, Macroses, gundum and a few other shows that came out of japan.
Right now I'm currently learning Kanaji, Hirjima, Romji from Rosetta stone and I hope I get to use it this summer with a few of you.

Thank you for the link Iceman.
I'm sorry if my first post sounded so excited and not my age.
I'll tell you why it did. on the 13th I've purchased rstone from a kiosk here in the states and on the 15th I've started learning Kanja lesson 1, Well 2 days in a row I couldn't remember a single or setence and I thought about sending the program back.
So on the third day I did a little more and re freshed what I've tried to learn so I can get it drilled in my head and start talking Kanja to most of you and who I call in Japan.
Well the third day of learning the program I had to to the asain/japanese store to buy so koko rice for my beloveded sushi and pardon my experison but when I was just a normal english person it looked all japaense to me ex ept for that day, Eeverything started forming setences and I could pick out some words but very many all.
How freaking cool is that guys & gals?

that's really funny ...

this site that I post there has 4 level , you've to start from the level 4 to 1 because the kanji over there depend on the JLPT exam , during the year you'll finish this 4 level .
I'm now 3rd level of Japanese and I'm studying English in my university. when I'll be 8th level of japanese , I'll do the JLPT in Turkey or Egypt .

Thank you for the link Hazam, and thank you everyone for helping this guijin out.

So when can I loose my guijin status, but at the same time not go too far into japaphildom?

It's all for our future,Like me,I learned English for my future not to be English or American,I still am the same Arabic guy but i gained a very important skill.
For example:
When you learn Japanese you dont have to wear kimono,You dont even have to.
I hope you understand what i said And i wish you a good future.^^

Hazam, I completely understand what you are saying. And I'm the same way however that will not stop me from buying a haro ball!
