hey guys
I'v been lurking around this forum for a couple of days now and i finaly desided to register
I'm a 20 year old Swede living in sweden, but im moving to Sendai (Japan) in april to studdy at a language school, so im checking every Japan related site i can find, and i have been doing so for the past couple of months

This coud be a problem, atleast befor i have arived in japan, sinse my japanese skills are realy limited and i will rely on bodylanguage in the begining, i will have emense problems comunicating with someone i can't c

I can't understand what is the problem.....(My English is not good enough to understand what you wrote) but if you want to talk or chat with Japanese,I can help you out! See you!

I can appreciate your concern in visiting Japan for an extended time. I too would be apprehensive about being to do more than order a beer or ask where the bathroom is. At the same time I'm sure that once you are emmersed in the country, the culture, customs, and so forth, that you will be successful. I think we should all be thankful (especially here in the U.S.A.) that being bi-, tri- or more lingual is considered a reasonable thing in Japan. From what I seen, heard, and learned, Japanese is a beautiful language.

Much success to you on your trip. By the way, can you share the reason for your visit to Japan?

The resons for me chosing to attend a Japanese language school are plenty, but ill try to rant them all ones more as I've done for some many rl people
I'm sick of my home town, Tokio was my goal for many years, 3years ago I lost hope of that dream and planed to take the easy way out and move to New yourk (my sister lives there), so when I finnished school (1.5years ago) i started working and i did so untill 3months ago. Then a online friend of mine from portugal got a schoolarship to to a language school in kyoto and i started recearch it and noticed it was quite posibleto accomplish my first dream so I found a city witch i coud afford on a swedish student loan (sendai) and there a found a school that seemed good, and i aplyed for it and got in.
Now im here reading everything I can find in the night time and in the daytime I work an put away as much money as i can.
So that's my storry, now to the things that intrests me about Japan.

1. New experiences
2. The Culture (New and old)
3. The vast amount of subcultures
4. The food
5. The women
6. Big city life
7. Not Sweden
8. The history

Ofcorse there's alot of other things that's apealing but i can't list it all

I've signed up for 2years at the language school and if I still fell like staying after that ill probably continue to universaty there too
