I haven't ever heard 赤電車, too, but apparently the word seems to exist, as Elizabeth-san quoted from a dictionary.

I don't think it always can convey the accurate meaning, though.

1. if you wish to keep asking for small questions like this, please make just one thread/topic instead of putting new ones.

4. when getting replies to your questions, it is polite to acknowledge them and tell us if you understood or not.
It is not an automatic answering machine but people who are answering your questions in this forum.

When undrentide-san adviced and epigene-san merged your questions into one thread, you said "yepp Thanks" for that. Nevertheless, you asked 16 questions (including 9 new threads) after that, and replied just only twice for our answers. You weren't satisfied with all the rest ones? Even if so, you should write at least "I can't understand" or something like that, I suppose.

Regardingﾂ ﾂ静披?彭 , it is true that the last train or bus of the day post red-light signs to alert commuters. It is still used for buses and trains in Tokyo today, although they are never called "akaden." It is always "shuden," short for ﾂ催?終窶彭ﾅｽﾃ .

I've never heard "akaden" been used in my life, so it must have become obsolete a long time ago...
