just started learning and needing direction

i started with learning hiragana and abit of katakana i know all my hiragana characters and am wondering where i should be going from there, im trying to learn sentance structure atm so i decided to start with sentance particles like wa and ga and also learn verb bases, am i going to far ahead or no?
