Jrock gigs in europe

I might go to the Sheffield one... If I have the money/ time!

My Scotish friend managed to get to Despairs Ray, MUCC, Dir en grey and is going to Gazette in London... much dedication!
 
I heard that Wizard may come to Europe around November/December and that D'espairs Ray will tour in Europe next spring...but I really don't know if they will really come...I'll tell you more if something is prooven!!!^^
 
I heard a rumor about Despairs Ray too... but it was quite a long time ago so I'm not sure if it's still the same one.
 

Yeah, it's painful on my bank balance here too...£55 to get to London x__x. Luckily my home is only 40 minutes from London, so I'll go stay there for the weekend.

Going to both Gazette and Dir en grey 27th and the 2nd is going to kill me, but it'll be worth it.

Stupid Uni gave me a two hour lecture in the late afternoon on Fridays so it's going to be a nice night-train back home. Ugh.

Either way, Gaz/Dir = Love.
 
I think I might go to the Sheffield one now. It will be much easier to get to and cheeper.

I'm pretty lucky with my timetable... I have Friday freeee! And nothing on Monday till about 3... this makes me very happy. ^_^

CD woo! I'll see you there. I live in Yorkshire, so it's easy for me to get there too. Would have loved to have gone to all three Diru gigs AND Gazette AND Plastic Tree. Ah well, maybe when I'm better (and richer)
D'espairs, man I've been waiting ages for them, missed them the first time round. didn't even know they were playing!
 
there is a lot of jpop events in Belgium going and this time i don't wanna miss it!!

WOA - the whole festival - especially Diru and In Flames
Megadeth - front row - Download '05
Nightwish - London - last tour before Tarja went
Iron Maiden - Sheffield - Matter of life and Death tour

Are you at uni in Leeds or live there?
I've been a few times... only once properly and then a couple of times at three in the morning at the train station... it seems the only city that has connecting trains late at night! Crazy things always happen there.
I haven't been to any gigs or things in York really... there never seems to be anything on when I'm there.
 
Live there, Uni for me next year but I still don't know where...should really fix that little problem soon right?
Yeah it is crazy at night, never a dull moment but there's no good venues for bands and stuff which is why no-one ever comes here. Student population's REALLY huge though. Then again there is 3 uni's

I'm really happy that we're getting more J-Rock in Europe, sure there'll be a whole lot more soon
 
Ah its really early to be chosing unis... if you feel like getting it done quickly its not a bad thing though. Any ideas where you might be going? I left mine really late... and then decided based on how pretty the place was... which on hindsight probably wasnt my best plan as I spend most my time visiting people in London and Manchester... as they actually have gigs and stuff!

Three unis in leeds... crazy! I only went out at night once there... it was for a friends birthday and ended up a bit messy! But then again it alwasy did when we tried to leave the house!

I agree... i think we will get more... I mean we've come a long way since Despairs Ray... and in the space of less than a year... I really don't think it's bad going!
 
OK, I've heard a rumor that Girugamesh are coming to London... yet I can find nothing about it! Has any one else heard anything?
My friend said she saw an advert of ticketmaster but I couldn't find anything today... it's meant to be on 29th January.

Oh and I heard from Kinsao that the Plastic Tree gig in London is cancelled. Ayone know why? What a shame!

CD- yeah I know it's really good to have these JRock gigs in Britain now, but then again i don't want there to be LOADS. I'd probably want to go to most of them and it wouldn't always be possible. Know what I mean?
 
Oh, cool! Girugamesh!!! Umm... but I just realised, sadly, it's a date I can't go... Ironically, I will be in the south of France at a music conference!

Electric Eel Shock are playing a few dates in England (and other countries of Europe!) on their next tour, and I am hoping to see them at Birmingham Barfly on 30 November, and hopefully drag my fiance there too! since he lives nearabout there.
 
Plastic Tree canceled!! Why?! They bothered to move the venue... and we were getting posters for it at Gazette! Crazy!

Girugamesh is on a Tuesday I hope my timetable stays how it is this term... if it does I can go. I hates gigs being on in the middle of the week!

The venue is in Soho...hmm. Someone said they thought it might be changed to another venue, I get the feeling it might. Also the ticket price (and booking fee) on 'seetickets' is kinda steep. Can't find them anywhere else.
 
Any Jref member going to Dir en grey in the Melkweg Amsterdam???
Maybe another Jref Red Ribbon meet is possible?

I really wish I could but I'll be in Malaysia at that time! Typical... I go to Asia and Jrock invades Eurpoe! ::le sigh:: my friend is goin and shes gona have to bring me back so much merch its unreal!

Why are the ticket sites so hard to work?? And why, every time I try to get tickets for German gigs, do the insist I use a credit card?! I don't have a credit card... they are bad and you spend money you don't have... I wish ticket websites would realise this!

/rant.
