JLPT Study

Hi Everybody,

I have now "mastered" the kanji for the JLPT N5, so now I am moving on to vocabulary. I'd appreciate some pointers on how to proceed.

There seem to be many books on the subject, and many websites. Websites seem to have an abundance of information, but I like books, I 'm an oldschooler in that respect, I like physical representations of things - so I am leaning towards a book. I'd like something that is authoritative on the subject that is respected, as opposed to the many fly-by-night companies that produce study guides "for the masses". Does anybody have any suggestions from their personal experiences? I am beginning to develop a "feel" for the language, and I want to continue that - so I am looking for some techniques and materials that others have used successfully to get a comprehensive knowledge rather than a surface knowledge.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions that you might have!

Well, like any exam, I recommend you to do some exams from the lasts years for you have an idea about is. Make it like as if you are taking the nouryoku shiken, with the time limit ,the audio parts, etc.
You can use the program called Anki and get a pre-made deck about the words of the exam's level that you want to take.
