Japanese ww2 flag my great grandfather took

My great grandfather ripped this off a guy in ww2. I'm having trouble translating it can anyone help? I also have an 1000 stitch belt, I believe the mans name is hisashi but I'm clueless for the rest.

Story:
my grandfather was on one of those islands, I don't know witch one, and he ripped this flag and belt off a guy after killing him. While looting the Japanese man he found a picture of that mans family and saw that that man had the same family members he had. A brother, sister, mother and father He took the belt home to honor him. it's supposed to be an 1000 stitch belt
