Japan Rail Pass

Hello,

Well I am going on holiday to Japan in September, I am looking into getting a Japan rail pass. I was wondering if it is worth paying extra for the first class Japan train travel when I am out there. how much is this rail pass, I mean how much does it cost, any thoughts or help?

If you're gonna use Shinkansen(bullet trains) many times, i recommend you to get Japan Rail Pass.Otherwise i don't think it is necessary.Its very convenient thing but very expensive.
