I'm trying to make up an itinerary for my 2 weeks break in Japan, How long to spend in Tokyo, how long in Osaka and Kyoto, and probably Nagoya, so I can start booking hotels and check for the JR pass

The thing is that this journey is going to put me in a completely different place, and I think everything will be interesting, not like any standard journey to an European or European Influenced place. So making up my mind it s really hardツ….

I would welcome suggestions.

I know the feeling. Since you have two weeks, you'll have plenty of time to use.

I am assuming that this is your first trip to Japan, so I'll approach it that way.

For Tokyo, I would recommend 3-4 days. I've only ridden through Nagoya, so I don't know what's there to really say. Maybe a couple of days. For Osaka, maybe about 2-3 days. For Kyoto, probably 3-4 days. If you can, I would recommend a day or two in Hiroshima so you can see Peace Park and Miyajima Island. It only takes a few hours or so to get there from Kyoto.
