Well, I just made dorayaki for my family and there are good and bad outcomes...
Good: This is the second time my mom had it, and last time she hated it. Now she loves it! I guess it's true about it growing on you. (I loved it instantly!)
Bad: My dad took the first bite, and just flat out said "I don't like it". Hmph, to each his own I suppose!
Good (as a result from the bad outcome): At least my dog likes anko!
Although there had already been similar-looking same-tasting sweets (mikasa for instance) out there, Usagiya in Ueno was the first to call it "dorayaki" at least.
