I don't know the exact translation...

Hi, I am doing a Japanese course and we are working with "Japanese for busy people 1"- university selection.

ok now i have difficulties translating the sentence:
"Koreha Tanako-san no uchi no juusho desu ka, kaisha no desu ka."
because I know what every word means but I am insecure what it means in fine english. (or german because i am german actually)

so, is it something like:
"What is the adress of Tanako-san's home and what is the adress of Tanako-san's Occupation?"

or like:
"Is this the adress of tanako-san's home or is it the adress of tanako-san's occupation?"

I am really not sure, please help me. thank you.


PS: you are not doing any homework for me by translating this because the real homework is to answer the question... ^_~

Most of your translation is correct except for "kaisha" which means "company."

You're being asked whether it is the address of the person's home or [address of] the person's employer.

This sounds more grammatically correct. Except it could also be:
Is this the Mr/Ms/Mrs Tanako's Home address, and his work address?
I dunno. Just stab at another way of reading it.

ah after reading again yeah it is just an either or question home or work address.
