I am interested in finding a Okinawan resident by the name of Akiko Maeshiro who lived in Tengan, Okinawa in 1966. I often wonder
what happened to her. I was very much in love with her, but circumstances changed and I was sent back to the states without notice.

Almost the same story with me , only in Japan 70-72. It seems finding old friends/loves is darn near impossible. I too am left always wondering is she alive still , did she marry , and so many other questions. Hope you have some luck finding answers.
