Hey Dutch, I saw this on the wikipedia, but it said that her next release is gonna be this year, which is cool. The article said it'll be Japanese-language, so I'm guessing it won't be an Utada release, but an Utada Hikaru one...? I'm looking forward to it!

I think I read somewhere that she wanted to finish school, though. So I'm not entirely sure of her plans. I think it would be great if she decided to finish college.

Just found her Live performance on youtube, She is singing the song from Greenday: Boulevard of Broken dreams.
I think she did a pretty good job on it, because this song is not so easy , and yes as someone else says in the comment on that website, its from a Punk band!

Haha, good thing I saw this thread I LOVE Utada Hikaru. Actually she was my very First J-Pop artist. My gateway into this addiction so to speak. I have been a fan of hers since First Love.

Although I have to admit that with the exception of a few songs (Exodus 04, Kremlin Dusk, About Me, Animato, and Devil Inside) Exodus wasn't really that good. I can't wait for her new album.

And I saw in an interview, not sure how recent it is, but she was saying that she wants to finish school, then be a wife. She said she wanted to be a housewife and clean the house, cook, take the trash out. Its up on youtube.

well She is currently married to Kazuaki Kiriya, a photographer and movie director. He has directed several of her music videos, including "Final Distance", "Traveling", "Hikari", "Sakura Drops", "Deep River", "Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro", "You Make Me Want to Be a Man", "Be My Last", and "Passion". Also, "Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro" was played during the credits of Kiriya's directorial debut, Casshern.

so I understand that she maybe have this plans... But I hope she will wait with that for a longggggggggggg time

Yea, I know she is so young only 23 and she is married to a man 15 years her senior. Wow its so weird how young she is, I first heard her music when I was only 13 now I am 19 so 6 years now I have been a fan.

hahaha i never looked at this thread.. dunno y tho... but like nana, utada was my first introduction to japanese music =) i love her songs so much, even though i dont listen to jpop stuff much anymore, i always have a soft spot for her =) her voice is absolutely mesmerizing and beautiful! and i like how she doesnt achieve her fame by showing skin or being all... seductive, like some other artists... utada is pure skills =D

hahah yes definitely!! i feel the same way... alot of the stars nowadays feel the need to show sex appeal but utada doesnt do that (thank god)....
