Hey everybody, I'm the new guy in town. I'm a senior at Florida State University and I've been studying Japanese in school and by myself for 5 years. I guess I'm somewhere between a JLPT level 2 and 3. I went to Japan to years ago with my girlfriend at the time, and I am currently in the process of applying for the JET program.

I would say I'm very easy to get along with. I enjoy discussions about just about anything relating to Japanese language and culture, although I'm not a big anime fan. I don't get into flame wars and I like to keep things civil, yet honest in my discussions.

That's about it for now. Everyone take care!

Hey salmon, and welcome to the JREF forums.

A fellow senior and JET applicant, eh? Best of luck! I'm also not that big on anime (though I've been known to enjoy a few).

See you around!

Good luck to you as well with the JET application. Have you already submitted your application? I honestly don't know if could have made the process any more of a pain. Original copies of this and two more copies of that... This has to have an official registar seal or it doesn't count... Man, what a pain! I'm going to be pretty upset if I am rejected. Anyways, what region are you hoping to get, or do you not really care?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have fun
Plenty to discuss here on Japan and other subjects.
