Hello all.

I found these items and would really need your help with the translation and trying to know what it is. According to the description seem to be something related to a Buddhist altarpiece. Have you ever seen something similar? Could anyone help me with the translation too?

It looks like the funerary cloths of Infantry Sergeant Ōshima Tokuji. The cloth would be wrapped around a box containing the ashes of a person - although the practice might be different for the military.
