Hi, i noticed you're currently studying at the school i'm planning to apply for in 2010, can you just tell me some of your experience there, your application procedures, where you were originally from and general things i should know, i.e. the waiver fee systems etc and scholarship. thanks in advance.
Hey man, sorry for the late reply.
I'm a Swedish guy who came to japan almost 3 years ago, enrolled in a language school in Sendai were I took their 2 year Japanese language coarse.
After that I enrolled a at Nihon kougakin in kamata were in a first year student and ones I graduate I plan to move on to University as a 3ed year student.
I dont plan to go to Tokyo university of technology because I think its over priced for a completely unknown school. Basically the wavered fee would only be the enrollment fee (200000 yen) but with the high school fee compared to other university it would still be cheaper to go else were.
What I think of the school...
The kamata campus of the senmon is the biggest senmon in Tokyo it also got a very god reputation in Tokyo as on of the top senmons. I personally think that the way of studying is a bit weired every one is just memorizing facts and not really allot of application. I`m fine with that though as I'm already quite competent in my field (IT) and need it more for the sake of a real degree and to improve my Japanese.
There is a scholarship but its very small and very hard to get, basically if you are among the top foreign students in the campus with perfect attendance you can get 50000yen a month for a year when you turn into a 2nd year student at the senmon. I know the same thing is available at language schools to if you take the 2 year coarse, but I dont know about the university.
