I've been using Microsoft IME for quite a while now but it only works decently on qwerty keyboards... Can someone help me out for a second? : (i'm tired of typing in the q to make an "a" and the "," to make an m and the rest of the characters work also the numbers work but almost no punctation works...) Its really terrible.

haha, I can feel your frustration. I, too, struggled a lot before, and tried in vain to search for a solution, only to find that it is indeed limited to qwerty keyboard, or more precisely the US layout if you use non-Japanese Windows. I believe I stumbled upon a link which said this on Microsoft website, so at that point I gave up. So, I guess you'd have to live with it.

Ah, but I use Windows XP, so perhaps this limitation isn't there anymore on later versions? Anyhow, most of the time I'm on Linux where I don't have this problem so it really doesn't affect me that much.

Im a programmer and i abide by one rule, try and avoid Microsoft. However we cant always but im sure there is a better IME out there that has a full functionality. Give google a quick whiz, if not butakun has the perfect answer.... its called linux

Use regedit and replace kbdjpn.dll by kbdfr.dll. That's all.(tested with windows 7).
