Hello everyone!
My name is Blair, and I'm starting my bachelor's degree in Japanese in the fall! I can't wait to get into my study of it and of course study abroad there. I'm also married and 24 y/o, and I'm really glad I found this site. Besides Japan/Japanese culture, I also have a strong love for Russia/Russian culture! Hoping to meet some new people and get as much out of this site as I can.

Hi and welcome!

That's interesting. Aren't Russia and Japan quite different from each other?
I don't know if you know Jenya, but if not you should check her blog out! She's a Russian who lives in Japan. She's not only a voice actor (in Japanese) for various games and anime, recently she's also been on Japanese TV a lot.

They are different but also have two similarities, that I can think of. (Taking off shoes before coming into the house and calling each other by their last name, unless invited to do otherwise). Both are very interesting! I don't know Jenya, but I just opened the link you gave me in a new tab. Thank you for sending me the link. You should check out Russia one day. It is way more than USSR and Vodka that's for sure lol.
