I've already posted in a few threads, but since it seems a little rude to bump in without properly introducing myself, I thought I'd post here.
I'm currently a graduate student at Waseda University, in Tokyo, studying political thought. Occasionally, I teach English and do translations.
I'm originally from Sendai city in the Miyagi prefecture of Japan. I've spent a few years abroad when I was young (making me what you would call a "kikokushijyo"), so I have some grasp of the English language, though, as you can see, my conversational English is somewhat stilted from years of disuse. I hope participating in the discussions here can help to remedy that a little.
In general I'm a pretty bookish person; my interests are reading and discussing literature and philosophy. I am also what you would call somewhat of an otaku; I am an enthusiastic consumer of anime, manga, and visual novel games, and you might bump into me if you ever somehow get it in your mind to come to Comiket.
Anyhow, kind regards.
