I'm new to this forum, and I wanted to say hello. I was stationed in
Okinawa in 1982 to 1984. I really enjoyed the people, culture and food while I was there. I had never felt safer at any time in my life. I learned how to scuba dive in the South China Sea, and that was an absolutely wonderful experience. I am currently a machinist and have been machining for nearly 25 years. I like astronomy, racing my radio controlled sailboats, hiking, camping, and cooking. I even took a sushi making class, but it's hard to by sushi grade fish in small enough portions for my wife and I.
I would like to add that my thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been affected by this horrible disaster.
Thanks for reading this,
Mark
