I've been a sometime lurker around here, reading and whatnot, but never registering or posting, and I thought that should change. ^__^

I'm interested in learning as much as I can about Japan, and her people and culture while trying to pick up more of the language on the way. My Japanese skills are pitiful, seeing as I only know a handful of phrases and words, so that is something I definitely want to work on!

One problem I've been having trying to make a post is that my login always times out before I submit and then I lose everything I typed when I do hit submit. Am I just typing to slow? Or is the "inactivity" set really low?

Welcome to JREF, Crystal! It's always nice to see new people here and I hope you can find whatever you need on JREF. Sorry, but I don't know why your login would time-out. Do you have a firewall? I found that my firewall would reset my login status, so maybe that's it. I'm no expert though, so don't take my word for it.

Hi there Crystal and Welcome to JREF. As to your problem with login, it can be fixed in two ways. Firstly when you log in to the site click the 'Remember Me?' box next to where you enter your username, it does allow you to stay logged in for longer.
If this doesnt work, then write out whatever you are due to post, and save it into a programme like MS Word, then copy and paste your reply if you find you have been logged out.
