Hello......I'm kind of like my name. Rather oversized in comparison to Japanese people and from the land that invented the "Mega-Mac"

Cheers!

Hello and welcome, new person. Welcome to the site and enjoy your stay at Jref.

Welcome to Jref obeika san ! Your name does have a nice rythym to it. I hope you hang around and enjoy yourself here. What part of Japan do you live in? I live up here on the roof; good ole Shinano...Nagano .

I hope to see you 'round !! MM

Thanks for the warm welcome, I am living on that tiny island in the south the one that has a whole bunch of "Obeika" types in green camoflauge running around or flying around all over the place.

Hello though. What does Obeika means by the way...

, I was watching a Japanese pair of comedians recently where one slaps the other guy over the head and yells at him "Obeika"! when he makes a comment or pulled out a punch line that refered to something that comes from "Obei" or America. Sometimes they would slap each other around, I think the topic was something about soccer and S.America ,and they would crack each other other the head yelling "Nanbei ka" which refers to south America.

I thought it was kind of funny and thought it fit me to a "t" as I am an "Obei-jin", the "O" not as a polite term but in reference to "oki" as in large, which I am, and from "bei-koku" which I am from as well.

I really hope that made sense.

..not really, but hey, welcome I'm just so fascinated with Japan, especially English-writing Japanese people.. ..as they are rare
