Konnichiwa! My native language is Chinese but since moving to the US my main language has now become English.... sad to say my chinese is now pretty basic... I hope to meet a lot of people with the same interests as me!

I don't quite know how to use all the controls yet but I hope you can see the pic. Moon Child is a great movie!! hehe. Hyde and Gackt are so silly. Hyde's so cute... not to mention Gackt.

Oh i'm sorry to hear that.

That's a common problem when people move to english speaking country. You tend to forget what you do not use and if you're speaking english all the time, you're going to forget your first language eventually if you do not practice it.

I observed it happening to my foreign friends and to myself. While I can still speak well in my native language, it takes more and more concentration to read and my writing skills have become truly hideous.

Oh no !! You guys are starting to scare me...please stop talking about forgetting ones 'mother' tongue.... (because I can kind of feel that happening from time to time with me...and I have to teach it....)

There's one girl from Indonesia at my uni who spoke some English before having come to Japan, and after the three years it took in learning the language (and some other things) to enter the university, she lost it to Japanese. (there is one boy from Sri Lanka who is about the same, but does a little better) [the Chinese students here are usually ok, it seems, they often speak Chinese in English class....
