Hello

My name is Dave and I got interested in the Japanese culture when I moved to Aomori-ken Misawa-city Japan with the Air Force in 2001. I lived in Japan and went to Towada college to study japanese language. I also met my wife Hiroko(ﾅ?ﾂｰﾅｽqﾂ） in Towada, got married in 2004 and had my daughter Arisa(ﾋ?ｸ窶板｢ﾂ債ｹﾂ） in October of 2004. I am currently studying at the University of Florida in Gainesville FL. After I am finished with the Asian Studies program at UF I would love to return to work in Japan. Hope to meet some friendly people along the way!

No more Air Force for me. 6 years was enough. I was a F-16 mechanic. I wanted to get out so I could finish school. How about you? Are you military? I have a friend that is moving to Tokyo soon and they have some questions. If it is ok with you I will refer them to this site and give them your name since your in Tokyo.

From away over here on these slopes which lead up to the snow spotted Japan Alps, and which will either make or break any 'hope-to-die' bicyclist, I shout out a big 'Greetings and Welcome to the forum !!'

I hope you finish up your schooling, and make it back over this way someday. And, I hope you do post when you can, and enjoy the whole forum, with all its fora and so on. there is surely a lot to share, and learn with all of us.

Oh, and that car, I know it so well. It looks cute and all, but I can't really get into it so easily. Most 'K' cars or the smaller mid-sized machines just don't have either the headroom or the legroom...and I need BOTH !!!
My honda Accord had had the best legroom, worst headroom, my Serena has the best headroom, worst legroom of all the 6 cars I've owned here in Japan.
