Hello! 窶堙坂?堋カ窶堙溪?堙懌?堋オ窶堙?
My name is Yama. I'm a Japanese live in Brisbane, Australia.
I've joined this forum since Friday.

Now I am studying translation & interpreting between Japanese and English.
I hope I can find a Job as an interpreter or a translater in Australia after I finsihed two-year course.

I've been in Australia for 5 month(3.5months in Melbourne &1.5 months in Bne)

Living in a foreign culture is sometimes very stressful, isn't it?
I usually feel irritated when I can't make myself clear in English.

It is very difficult to understand foreign culture completely, but we have to keep trying, don't we?

Welcome to the fora, YAMA! That's cool that you're studying to be a translator and interpreter. Which one do you prefer? It seems to me that being an interpreter is more difficult, because you don't have a recording of the original statements. This can be especially difficult when someone is speaking quickly and in large chunks at one time. I'm sure you'll be less and less frustrated with the foreign culture the longer you live there, and I know your English will improve so that you will be able to make yourself clear in English almost all of the time. Don't feel too bad about it, though. There are times when I can't make myself clear in English, and it's my first language! Be sure to post a lot, and enjoy your stay with us!

Hi Yama ! Welcome To The Forum !!

Hope you make the JREF Forum a place to come and relax. We sure can use more Japanese members who speak English. Maybe when you have a problem with something, you can see if the members can help you. If you have a camera, many of us here love pictures. Glad you found Jref, hope you make it your home away from home!
