Hi. My name is Yujin and I happen to come across this website and I must say that I am delighted to have accidentally found this. I was raised primarily as a Filipino, since my ethnic background is kinda different. I am Half-Japanese, Half-Filipino. My goal is to learn as much about anything pertaining to Japan. Its culture, language and cooking, since I love to cook. But my other reason for this, is to hopefully locate my biological father who from what I know so far, resides in Japan. I am not sure where, but all I have to go by is his name, Masato Ozaki. I would really appreciate if anyone here can point me to the right direction and help me contact my father. Besides this, I hope to make new friends along the way as I learn to use this site. Thank you.

Hi Yglovell ! Welcome To The Forum !!

There are quite a few people interested in Japanese cooking & food here.
As for your dad, every little detail you can find would help. Somewhere in past posts is an outfit that helps people find relatives. Knowing what city he last lived in might help. Anyway, glad you found us, enjoy!

Yujin, welcome aboard!

Good luck on the search for your father. You might want to put post a thread in our Japan People Search section and post as much information as you possibly can. We have a lot of people located in Japan who can try to help if you have plenty of information.

Nice to meet ya.

Hi. Sorry that I do not have a pic, but I am working on it. As for the info about my dad? Hmm.....I will see if I can get anymore from my mom. She is very bitter towards him and something bad must have happened because everytime I bring the subject up, she always gets upset....

Any ways, thanks for the tip on posting on the People Search. If you can think of anything else that may help, then I would really appreciate it. L8r.

Hi, Yujin, nice to have you here!
Thanks for the details in your intro.
I believe if you are persistent, you will definitely find your dad in Japan.
Nothing is impossible these days.
I haven't learned Japanese myself, but would you like to take up some Japanese for the moment you meet him?
In the meantime, I hope youu enjoy the cooking posts, and make firends here.
Feel free to peek around and post your ideas to anything you can relate to.
And you're welcome to start your own threads and polls, too!
