More than 140 individuals were hospitalised in Tokyo on Tuesday after slipping and falling due to heavy snowfall in eastern Japan, as the Tokyo Fire Department reported. The injured individuals ranged in age from 4 to 92, and fortunately, none of them were in a life-threatening condition. In the neighbouring Kanagawa Prefecture, over 30 people sustained injuries, while in Saitama Prefecture, more than 70 individuals were slightly hurt. Although the Japan Meteorological Agency has lifted its heavy snow warnings across nine prefectures, snowfall and rain persisted in some areas through the morning.
