Hi :-) I recently heard of the Hakata-ben. And I got interested with it.
Can you share some common phrases widely spoken by people in Hakata-ben? I know about the suito which is the suki. Are there any other common phrases or slangs (not necessarily the offensive ones) spoken by young people or trending phrases in Hakata-ben? :?

Thank you very much 🙂

Here are Hakata-ben dictionaries.(all in Japanese)

Hakata-ben
単純明解博多弁事典

The following phrase was once widely known by being used in a CM.

博多ん者な横道者 青竹割ってへこにかく
Hakata n mon na ooroomon, aodake watte heko i kaku.

My old friend often said "Sekarashika" or "It's annoying/noisy."😅

Ha, wow. That sounds pretty cool, but I guess that has a lot to do with 鮎川誠 himself. At first I could hardly tell what he was saying, but then I started to make out a little. I'd have a rough time for a while hanging out with people who only spoke that way.

That was a nice link Toritoribe, however I'm struggling in translating it. 😌
I wish there'll be an English site about it. Nonetheless, thank you for the links and the phrase was most certainly helpful.
To others, if you know something about this dialect, feel free to share some Hakata-ben phrases.
Also Mr. Toritorbe, if you have time, please translate this video

It's a girl teaching a hakata-ben phrase or word. Thank you 😄

The phrase she was teaching in the video is "Where have you been?" both in Hakata-ben and 筑豊弁[Chikuhou-ben]. (Chikuhou is a region in central Fukuoka Prefecture.)

Standard Japanese
どこ行ってたの?
Doko itteta no?

Hakata-ben
ねえねえ、どこ行っとったと?
Nee nee, doko ittotta to?

Chikuhou-ben
ねえねえ、どこ行っちょったぁん?
Nee nee, doko icchottaan?

もぉ、どこ行っちょったんじゃあ。
Moo, doko icchottanjaa.

Thank you ToriToribe.. That was very helpful 👍
I've been researching the Hakata-ben grammar and vocabulary and I'm really impressed about it's difference with the Standard Japanese.
I just can't figured out the difference between their accent or sound.

To those people from Fukuoka, feel free to share your beautiful dialect here :p

all dialect should be eliminated for the sake of efficiency! kudos on CCP on diminishing many Chinese dialects.
