My name is Preston and I am from the US. I was stationed at Camp Foster in Okinawa in 2002. I really miss it. 
It has been almost 5 years since I left, and I can remember it like it was yesterday. I still have a good friend there and we email each other all the time. Her name is Yasuka...she is very cool, we used to hang out all the time in Ginowan City and Naha...
I found this site while looking for how to prepare nabeyaki udon. Hopefully I will learn alot here!!!
I know very little Japanese, i started to learn too late. I was real good at katakana, and starting hirigana. I know some phrases too...Some stuff I can say, but I dont know how to seperate the different words, like hai sai, I know how to say it though...
I really miss it a lot One day i hope to go back. I also want to visit Kyushu , Osaka, and Tokyo...
