Question Grandmother referring to daughter in front of granddaughter

This is my first time using this site, but I think posting it in translation is correct? Incredibly sorry if not.

The grandmother is talking about her daughter in front of her granddaughter, how would she refer to her daughter? By her name with an honorific at the end, or simply "your mother", as in "your mother was very adventurous at your age", or another name?

If it's the wrong spot, I'm sure a moderator will move it.

They way I understand it, a woman will normally refer to her own adult daughter usually by name, usually with no honorific, although depending on the individual there could always be a '-chan' especially if using a nickname.

If the granddaughter in your scenario very young then calling that young girl's mother by name might be weird and confusing, in which case some version of 'mother' could be used. Almost certainly not an explicit 'your mother', because who's mother it is should be understood. If who's mother it is does need to be stated explicitly for some reason, then it would be "(granddaughter's name)'s mother"

How old is the granddaughter in this scenario? If she's a child my guess would be Okaasan (if there was some intent to involve the granddaughter) or just whatever she normally calls her (such as first name) if she was just addressing her and the granddaughter happened to be there but was not a part of the interaction. There must be many scenes in Sazae-san with this exact scenario but I haven't watched it enough to remember.

My mother-in-law just says okasan, if referring to our kid's mother to one of our kids. If she is just talking to our kid's mother, her daughter, its just by name.
