Gas and its outrageous price.

Yes I am. It will cease to be the worlds reserve currency in about a year or so. Just look at the USDX and you will see what I am talking about. Heck, even Alan Greenspan was in the Middle East last month telling them to start thinking about other currencies for their oil. Just google Greenspan, Middle East. US Dollar. It was barely reported on here in the US.

You have to understand that this is a designed fall of the dollar. Even your own posts above should tell you that. Dig a little deeper and stay away from "controlled media" and you will see the truth.

The dollar will fall from grace and you can bet your bottom dollar on that if it will be worth anything by then.

Where have you been? Isn't there plenty of currencies out there with a higher value than the dollar?

Most have gained more than 10% against the US$ this past year and all will probably continue to gain. Just check out the Foreign Exchange Rates and you will see what I am talking about.

Personaly, as the US$ markets and dollar falls, I have been making more than 7% in foreign currencies this past year. Especially when yen was over 120/US$ last summer!

I was agreeing with you (i didn't see your post originally). Though, it is a shame that most people don't know that the us dollar is sinking real fast (and who do we americans have to blame? Our fault we only import and don't export anything but "relief funds").

The dollar is inevitably going to tank, but I don't think it will be as soon as next year. Probably sometime in the next decade or two, though.

I'm still going to convert a good sum of money into yen though.

The best stock market investment for US citizens: Convert your money to Euros. Just by doing that, the value of your existing euroes goes up compared to the value of your dollar (even if it's not enough to display on a calculator). Invest in enough Euros, and you bring america to it's knees in debt while your rich butt is earning craploads of $ by the value of the euro not dropping (if it even does at all) as fast.
