We have a Furisode Kimono in our collection at the Powerhouse Museum.
We are trying to translate the information on these two tags. I believe one says the design of the kimono and the other is maybe the price? If anyone could assist that would be most appreciated.
Kind regards
Clare

I can't read either of those. I mean, the top character on the picture on the left is maybe the character for "eight" (八), and the bottom character is maybe "moon/month" (月), but the bit in the middle doesn't make sense as its not a character by itself, and it doesn't fit with the character above or below it. So its a mystery.

Hi Majestic. Thank you. I have found out that the tag you are talking about says 80 yen. So that confirms the price which is what I was advised that one tag was. The other tag is the design evidently but no takers on translation as yet. Something to do with winter as there is snow and geese on it.

That tag really doesn't look like "80 yen". I'm very skeptical of that translation, but I have no other plausible alternative to offer.

It seems to me that the first two characters on the second tag are 乙丑 Kinoto-Ushi, i.e., 1925 or 1865 (or could be 1985, 1805,,,).
